    Mechanical Engineer

    As a turn-key robotic automation system supplier Encore integrates robotic systems in the Automotive, Aerospace and general industry markets. A few examples of products include robotic end effectors, auxiliary axis robot movers, material handling equipment etc. The position is for a Mechanical Engineer that will work with a project team to create cost effective mechanical solutions for robotic systems. The basic duties for this position include but are not limited to: Robotic system layouts, robot mounting structure design, field pneumatic schematics development, robot dress-out and end of arm tooling development, and meet and work with customer representatives to identify customer needs and requirements for projects. The position will be a direct report to the Engineering Manager.
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) is required.
    • At least 2 years of professional experience in a mechanical design engineering role; recent graduates with strong mechanical engineering related project experience and internship experience will be considered.
    • Must have experience designing mechanical systems using 2D and 3D CAD software – SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred.
    • Candidate must be a self-starter and willing to take responsibility for projects with minimal supervision.
    • Individual must be creative and able to generate effective and cost efficient mechanical solutions within the constraints of customer design specifications.
    • Must be mechanically inclined and willing to participate in the assembly and testing of robot systems on the shop floor as well as at the customer site. Handy with tools and comfortable in a shop environment.
    • Structural analysis experience including the ability to perform hand calculations is a plus.
    • Must have pneumatic circuit design experience.
    • Basic understanding of NEC hazardous location codes is a plus.
    • Experience applying common manufacturing and machining processes where it applies to design (including mills, lathes, manual and CNC)

    Electrical Controls Engineer

A few examples of products include robotic end effectors, auxiliary axis robot movers, material handling equipment etc. The position is for an Electrical Controls Engineer that will work with a project team to create controls solutions for robotic systems. The basic duties for this position include but are not limited to: control panel design pneumatic circuit design, electrical installation package development, and meet and work with customer representatives to identify customer needs and requirements for projects. The position will be a direct report to the Engineering Manager.
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) is preferred.
    • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a controls design engineering role; recent graduates with strong controls engineering related project experience and internship experience will be considered.
    • Must have experience using AutoCAD as a design tool. AutoCAD Electrical and E-plan experience a plus.
    • Must have experience designing control systems utilizing Allen-Bradley, Siemens and Mitsubishi standard PLC’s and safety PLCs.
    • Must have experience with the practical application of industrial Ethernet.
    • Must have experience with the practical application of ANSI/RIA15.06 “Safe Guarding of Robotic Systems” code requirements.

    Controls/Software Engineer

A few examples of products include robotic end effectors, auxiliary axis robot movers, material handling equipment etc. The position is for an Electrical Controls Engineer that will work with a project team to create controls solutions for robotic systems. The basic duties for this position include but are not limited to: controls software development, validation, and deployment. The position will be a direct report to the Application Software Manager.
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a controls software engineering role; recent graduates with strong controls engineering related project experience and internship experience will be considered.
    • Must have experience using Rockwell Automation development software.
    • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio is a plus.
    • Experience with Fanuc, ABB, or other major robotic platform.

    Process Engineer

    As a turn-key robotic automation system supplier Encore integrates robotic systems in the Automotive, Aerospace and general industry markets. A few examples of products include robotic seam sealing, robot sanding, and robotic painting systems. The position is for a Process Engineer that will work with a project team to develop and implement a process methodology for a project. The basic duties for this position include but are not limited to: Creating of the robot cell per the cell mechanical layout in an offline simulation environment, robotic path development offline with final path maturation at the customer site. Setup and calibration of the vision system at the Encore facility during runoff and the customer facility. The position will be a direct report to the Process Engineering Manager.
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Associates degree in robotic technology or 2 years of work experience in robotic sealer or robotic paint system as robot programmer is required.
    • Must be proficient teaching Fanuc robots utilizing the I-Pendent. The ability to path teach ABB and other robot brands is a plus.
    • Must be proficient in one of the following offline programming environments. (Fanuc PaintPro, Fanuc Handling Pro or Cenit).
    • Must have experience utilizing one of the following vision systems (Fanuc 3D multi-view, or Fanuc 3DL).
    • Must have experience writing Karel Logic as well as BG logic in the Fanuc controller. The ability to write RAPID logic for ABB controllers is a plus.

The work will be to support Encore Systems with robotics expertise and efforts, together with other engineers. Some of the task are listed but not limited to:
    • Simulation and Offline Programming of the Robot Motions and Process Control
    • Assisting in the assembly and testing of robotics and other systems at Encore
    • Technical Supervision of Installation of the systems at the customer’s manufacturing plant
    • Commissioning of the system, software debug, startup and tuning of the system at the customer’s manufacturing plant to meet the customer’s production and quality requirements

    Project Manager

    Encore provides complete systems for automated painting and sealing application as well as associated processes in the Automotive, Aerospace and General Industry Markets. The systems include robots and specialized machines, paint and dispensing application equipment, sophisticated control systems, tooling and associated devices. Encore develops, engineers, designs, procures, assembles and tests the complete systems, as well as installs and starts them up in the manufacturing plants. Each system for a customer is a separate project, and we are looking for a Project Manager to manage the Encore Scope to insure quality, maintain schedule, and manage costs to be within the project budget while handling the customer interface for the project and meeting the customer needs.
    Job Qualifications
    • Bachelor degree in engineering is preferred, but any college degree is okay
    • Required experience providing engineering or other scope in being part of a project team providing the systems as defined in the job description. Strong preference for someone who understands through prior experience what must be done to fulfill the various tasks of the project team.
    • Strong preference for person who understands the paint application and sealant dispensing processes.
    • Strong preference for knowledge and experience in industrial controls, motion systems, robotics, and vision. Prior work in software for such systems is preferred.
    • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical installation techniques and approaches is strongly preferred. Prior involvement in the installation of these systems is also strongly preferred.

    Product Development Engineer

The job will include process development and testing as well as working with project engineering and field operations to support installation and start up when necessary. The position will be a direct report to the Product Development Manager.
    Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical engineering is required.
    • At least 4 years of professional experience in a process engineering role
    • Must have experience programming robots, Fanuc experience preferred.
    • The ideal candidate will have experience in coatings application and material dispensing (ie sealing applications). Sanding experience a plus.
